SUGAR CONE CHRISTMAS TREES

Sugar Cones,
Chocolate chips,
white chocolate chips or candy melts,
Assorted candies for decorating,
Fruit Loop cereal,
MM's, red Licorice Strings, etc.
Waxed Paper (to work on)

Be sure a parent or guardian helps with this project.
Melt chocolate or candy melts in a shallow bowl in the microwave. Do not burn. Stir well until smooth.
Roll a Sugar Ice-cream Cone in the chocolate to cover. Turn upside down on wax paper and press the decorations into the chocolate to decorate your tree. Allow the chocolate to harden. Store in a cool location. Super gifts for the kids to exchange with friends.

REINDEER POOP

(use small, round chocolate candies like covered peanuts or raisins)

I woke up with such a scare when I heard Santa call...
"Now dash away, dash away, dash away all!
I ran to the lawn and in the snowy white drifts,
those nasty reindeer had left "little gifts".
I got an old shovel and started to scoop
neat little piles of "reindeer poop".
But to throw them away, seemed such a waste,
So I saved them, thinking ~ you might like a taste!
As I finished my task, which took quite awhile,
Old Santa passed by and he sheepishly smiled.
And I heard him exclaim as he rose in the sky ~
"Well, they're not potty trained, but at least they can fly!"

RUDOLPH SANDWICHES

Cut your kids sandwiches in a large triangle. Use two raisins for eyes, six raisins for mouth, a couple of pretzels make the antlers, and half of a red cherry tomato for a nose! Your kids will love your "Rudolph Sandwiches".

APPLE SANTA CLAUS

Use a large, whole apple for the body of your apple Santa Claus. Attach a marshmallow to the top with a toothpick for the head. Then press raisins into the marshmallow for the eyes, nose, mouth and ears, and press cotton under the marshmallow for the beard. If they do not attach easily, use marshmallow fluff.

TASTY TREE ORNAMENTS

Candy Tree Ornament: Glue a green mini Reese Peanut butter Cup upside down to a gold Rolo. Next glue a second Peanut butter cup to the first. Glue a green Hershey Kiss to the top. Instant candy Christmas tree. Attach gold thread to the top for hanging.
Bell Ornament: Glue a small bell to the bottom of 2 Hershey Kisses. Attach one end of a 6 inch piece of ribbon to the top of each Hershey Kiss. Drape over the branch from the center of the ribbon.

GUMDROP TREE

GUMDROP TREE
On your walk find a small branch of a tree or bush to use for the tree. Strip the leaves off the branch if there are any remaining. Next make the tree stand upright by sticking it in a mound of clay, or in a small cup that has been filled with sand. Paint the tree and stand white and when the paint is dry, stick a gumdrop on the end of each branch.
