CRAFT -EGG CARTON SPIDERS
1 egg carton cup, painted black (can color with marker)
2 wiggle eyes
3 - 6 inch black pipe cleaners
Poke 3 holes on each side of eggcup and thread black pipe cleaners through
Ladybug caterpillar (using 3 cups)
Bats 1 cup and 2 halves on either side.
CRAFT -THE BOO MASK
THE BOO MASK
A mask that a child can hold up to his face and remove when desired. Eyes look through the Oīs in BOO.
Cut out of black paper. Add Popsicle stick handle and colorful streamers on the side.
CRAFT -HALLOWEEN PAPER BAG PUMPKIN
Using a large grocery bag (or a little lunch bag) crumple newspaper and stuff. Twist top of paper bag and tie with elastic. Have children paint the bag orange. Paint the face black. Paint stem green.
My children brought these home from kindergarten over 20 years ago and Iīve been making them with the daycare children ever since. If you build and paint them one day then put the face on another day, you can use black markers.
CRAFT -HAND PRINT SPIDER
Paint the childīs palm and four fingers with black paint. Press the hand on the sheet of construction paper so the palms overlap, extending the fingers in opposite directions. The palm print in the middle is the spiderīs body and the fingers are the legs. Glue on wiggle eyes and youīre done! Make one for Grandma and Grandpa!
TOMBSTONE PLACE SETTINGS
Use mini tombstones made from black cardboard to create individual place settings with guestsī names.
CRAFT -HALLOWEEN ART
Using bright colored paper to paint on such as bright orange or green, try using only black paint to make a picture for Halloween. You can make leaf prints in the black paint by painting the paint onto the leaves the children collected outdoors and press them on the paper. Teach them how to make simple bats by making an upside down w on the page (a very kewl trick)! This is a good time of year to dance with scarves. Something very "Witch-like" about this activity!
CRAFT- MARGARINE TUB JACK-O-LANTERN
Cover a small margarine tub, with the lid on, with orange crepe paper. Turn on side using flat top for face. Make face by gluing on black paper features.
