May 3, 2002, Newsletter Issue #82: Fun Crafts to Remember Mom

Tip of the Week

How about PAINT A FLOWER POT? This is a wonderful project and all you need are clay flower pots and poster paints. Let the children paint the pots using their imagination. When the pot is dry, have them plant a small plant or seed.

Or, if you`d prefer, get crafty in the kitchen and make breakfast for mom using this easy FRENCH TOAST RECIPE. Try to find an adult to help, or serve juice and/or coffee to mom and let her supervise. Here`s what to do:

1. Put one egg and one tablespoon milk in bowl.
2. Beat with a fork.
3. Take one slice of bread and dip on both sides.
4. Measure one-tablespoon butter and melt in pan.
5. Brown bread on both sides.
6. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, serve with butter and syrup. Enjoy!
